You Just Gotta Do It

Let’s face it. We have got some great tools to work with these days. No, I’m not referring to my large assortment of Craftsman tools that sit around my house. While the hand tools are pretty benign, the power tools can be very dangerous in my hands.

I’m referring to the tools that we in the mortgage lending real estate business have. I personally could spend thousands of dollars a month subscribing to the latest and greatest websites with the best client capture software and the best database programming known to man. Let’s not forget sending out cards, emails, newsletters (print and electronic), blogging, SEO, coaching, etc. Of course, I would hate to leave out surfing to our competitions website and stealing, er.. borrowing ideas from them.

In fact, it wouldn’t be hard to sit at the desk all day and analyze what I should be doing to correctly analyze and reanalyze the market conditions to laser focus on the clients that may want to do business with me if they are hungry enough fish and I present the right bait.

It would be easy and some of us could then say we had a hard, productive day at work, even though we accomplished very little. Did you catch the last part….WE ACCOMPLISHED VERY LITTLE.

As my buddy Chris, the Orlando Mortgage Pro, says… (to paraphrase)  ”You may know what to do, but it does no good unless you implement it”. He is absolutely right, and I give him a lot of credit.

Here’s another guy who could easily sit around and watch training videos and read books on how to be #1, but instead, he just gets out there and does it.

It would also be easy to sit back and bask in the glory of being the “best of the best”, but Lance is currently back in training to prove he really is a winner. And I don’t just mean at just riding a bicycle. With everything that has happened to him, it would have been easy to quit and have people feel sorry for you. Others just seem to work harder. “LiveStrong”

If there was any commercial that motivated me, this is it. You know what you need to do, so get out there and JUST DO IT.
